Well, after relaxing for a few weekends we were back on the road last weekend to San Fran again. Rollie and I were lucky enough to stay at the Hyatt in Union Square for free thanks to all of his built up points. Our view on the 32nd floor was amazing! We enjoyed our free happy hour and then headed out to dinner at Urban Tavern. I read about it on yelp, my favorite new obsession. The best way to describe it is fancy bar food, but really really good quality ingredients. We shared bacon tater tots, and a flat iron steak with homemade mac n cheese...everything was to die for! Probably top two steaks I've ever had and that's pretty much all I order when fine dining. We shared a bottle of 07 Fort Ross pinot nior...yum yum and finished the dinner off with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream from North Beach creamery, a local ice shop in the San Fran area. The following day we enjoyed breakfast with another great view at the hotel and then headed down to ATT park for the Giants g...

My Aunt called me last week and asked me fore a big favor so...last Thursday we picked up a 10 week old dachshund puppy to surprise my cousin for his birthday. After an interesting 8 hour car ride from Chico to Laguna Niquel with Rufus and a puppy we finally arrived! Thursday we spent time with my family and the new pup...Connor was very surprised and thrilled! Friday we drove back up to LA and spent the day with friends before heading to Brian and Lisa's rehearsal dinner. Saturday was wedding day and Sunday brunch before hitting the road again. Short but great weekend with friends and family!

I'm WAY behind! This whole work thing has left me less time to work on photography and blogging...but I'm ready to catch up today! Two weekends ago my mother in law Janet, Rollie and I went up to Table Mountain in Oroville. Its this crazy flat mountain top and in the spring the flowers are beautiful, we might have a been a bit early so we will have to try back soon for more color.

I have been trying to update my travel journal over the last view days and I can't believe how fortunate we have been over this past year. We had planned on celebrating our anniversary next weekend in LA for our friends wedding, but as we both just love to pick up and leave we changed our minds at the last minute. My Aunt and Uncle from Northern Michigan are in California for a month, and they came through Chico a couple of weekends ago on the way back from Tahoe. The mentioned that we should come visit them at their rental house in Sausalito the following weekend...so that's just what we did! We spent Friday night in Sausalito at their amazing rental house, toured Muir Woods Saturday morning and then headed for Napa Saturday midday! It was a perfect anniversary weekend. Here are a few pictures!

Our great friends, The Downers were in Davis for the weekend so we had the chance to meet Chris, Amy, Jackson, and Amy's parents for brunch on Sunday and walk around Old Town Sacramento. I can't believe we haven't been there yet! It looks like its straight out of a movie set...blocks of cute restaurants, bars, and cheesy touristy stores with a 'saloon/cowboy' feel from the gold mining days. I took tons of pictures, and mostly couldn't resist little Jackson! My first model!

I haven't had too much time to get out and take pictures this past week...well maybe that's a lie. After my first week of working full time again I was a total couch potato this weekend. I did take my camera down to the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning and got a few cool shots. Spring is definitely around the corner, its funny after being in LA for so long, where there are no seasons, to actually experience seasons again!

Happy Valentines Day! I spent the day with my hubby at a nice brunch, a walk around town, and the movies, Valentine's Day of course! He is now off to the Bay Area for training all week :( It's been a crazy week or so since my last post...I have a new job! I'm starting at Improvement Direct on Tuesday in sales/customer service and I can't wait. I had to drop my film class which was sad, but I am able to keep my digital class since its at night. I think its going to be a tough long week; actually waking up to an alarm clock, packing a lunch and a gym bag...but 100% worth it. I need a schedule, I'm a planner and its been driving me nuts over the last 6 months not knowing my schedule weeks in advance, and I've just been watching too much TV, ha! With that said I needed to post because it might be a crazy week. Rollie and I were fortunate enough to have a few days off together this past week and I was able to take some great pictures, especially up in the sno...
