28 weeks

Image
Cooking time:  28 weeks, 4 days Weight gain:  +10 pounds as of Sunday (28 week mark) +11 pounds as of today Maternity clothes:  oh yeah...dresses and skirts.  It was 92 today...yikes! Luckily even without a/c our house stays very cool if we keep all the blinds and windows shut...and living in the 'coastal' region, even though its 15 miles away we get an amazing breeze come 6pm and are able to open all the windows again. Food cravings: Well, yesterday it was strawberry shortcake and today it was grilled veggies and hot dogs so I gave into both.  Trader Joes has these amazing biscuits topped with a tiny bit of sugar that I used as shortcake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream...yummy. We made grilled turkey dogs, grilled cheesy potatoes and grilled veggies tonight and it definitely hit the spot.    Food dislikes:  nothing Missing:  sleeping through the night (a trend that will never go away)...I seem to be getting up 3 times a night to pee now, up

Maui Part 1: Ka'anapali

Day 1-Wednesday 5/9/12 We arrived to the Hyatt in Ka'anapali around 1pm after getting a nice little free upgrade to a jeep wrangler for our week stay.  The hotel was perfect and they gave us a free upgrade to a partial ocean view room...I guess playing the pregnancy card works wonders. That first afternoon we just relaxed by the pool and tried to adjust to the time change. Starving by 4pm we grabbed an early dinner at Star Noodle which had amazing reviews.  It was good, but nothing spectacular.  We started with deconstructed steamed pork buns, and then I had garlic noodles and Rollie had beef chow fun. We headed back to the hotel and I feel asleep at 7:30...yep.  We had planned on trying to wake up and do the sunrise drive to Haleakala crater but when I woke from my 'nap' at 10:30 I knew that probably wasn't going to happen.
