Image
my lovely hostesses  the hubs and I Cooking time:  37 weeks, 1 day Weight gain:  +20 lbs Maternity clothes:  Same...dresses and skirts :) Food cravings:  Sweets mostly...not really that hungry lately (maybe that means she's coming early??) Food dislikes:  nothing Missing:  Sleep, laying on my tummy, and doing normal things like tying my shoes and cleaning the house with ease. What we've been up to:  -We are in the process of getting new sprinklers and sod in our front yard!!  So exciting...there has been red bark and weeds there since we moved in a year ago. -Last night we had an amazing bbq/baby shower thrown by my friends Meghan and Melissa.  It was perfect.  Our little girl is surrounded by amazing friends and family.  We had about 20 friends and family (mostly work friends and Rollie's mom, step mom and step sister).  Baby 'W' got a lot of cute outfits, diaper pail, homemade artwork for her gallery wall, gift cards, and highchair

Cooking time:  36 weeks, 2 days Weight gain:  +20 lbs Maternity clothes:  Same...dresses and skirts :) Food cravings: Watermelon and sweets.  Today I had a craving for something lemon so we made a run to Whole Foods after our tour of the hospital, lemon sorbet :) Food dislikes:  nothing Missing:  Sleep, laying on my tummy, and doing normal things like tying my shoes and cleaning the house with ease. What we've been up to:  -Nesting lots.  I finished packing baby girls hospital bag this week, but I might need to take some things out after learning today at the hospital tour that I don't really need much for her. -We made some room in the kitchen for bottles, bibs, etc. -The nursery is pretty much done with the exception of a glider and closet doors/curtain.  We bought a fabric shower curtain at Target last night but its not really doing the trick. -On Sunday night we tried a great new Asian fusion restaurant in Windsor called Chinois, we've been t

Sorry for the crappy picture Cooking time:  35 weeks, 1 day Weight gain:  +19 lbs. Maternity clothes:  Same.  Luckily it decided to cool off today in the mid 70's and it feels fantastic!  Food cravings:  Mostly sweets (chocolate to be specific).  We had a great impromptu date night last night at our favorite local Italian restaurant Lococo's.  We shared two entrees: the spaghetti bolognese and the creamy tortellini with peas and prosciutto...yummy!! Food dislikes:  nothing Missing:  Sleep, laying on my tummy, and doing normal things like tying my shoes and cleaning the house with ease. What we've been up to:  -I skipped last weeks post...no good reason, just laziness.  -We had a busy week last week:  Monday-dinner with friends in Novato last Monday night with their 3.5 year old and 11 day old!  Elle, was so tiny.  She was a few weeks early, still weighing at just 5.5 lbs.  Rollie held her after some nagging from me :)  Tuesday-we had birthing cla

Project Baby 'W' Nursery

Well we are almost done with the nursery.  There are a few more little things to be done, but its looking pretty great! This room sat pretty much empty for 9 months.  We had a little wallpaper issue but looking at it now no one would know.  Long story short the previous homeowners (or original homeowners) put up some lovely floral wallpaper but unfortunately the did it without using any primer so over the years the glue had soaked into the drywall...so our options were to take it down and refinish the entire texture of the walls ($$$$$) or paint over it.  We went with option #2.  Luckily it was only the top half of the walls.  We also painted the ceiling, dark trim, and ripped out the existing closet rods.  Take a look at this room before (this picture was taken the week we moved in while we were painting our bedroom and waiting for our new bed to be delivered)... Now here is what it looks like! Alphabet wall...my family has been helping me collect for a couple years now.

Way overdo...Maui Part 2: Wailea

I've been a bad bad blogger with the exception of my weekly pregnancy updates.  We've been home from Hawaii for almost 6 weeks and I have yet to update our whole trip! Day 5-Sunday 5/13/12 Sunday morning we woke up and checked out of the Hyatt...sad to leave but excited to venture to another part of the island.  On the way to Wailea we stopped in Lahiana for some shaved ice :)  It took about 40 minutes to get to our new hotel, Hotel Wailea.  The hotel had beautiful grounds and we were able to check in right away.  After getting settled in our new room we headed down to Wailea beach and checked out the Grand Wailea.  I definitely wasn't impressed with it and glad that we had paid probably half the price at our hotel just a mile up the road.  We had some lunch at the little beach cafe and then sat on the beach (we could rent free beach chairs and umbrellas from the Grand Wailea through our hotel).  From the beach we headed into Kihei the next little town over and picked u
