Fall is Finally Here! Sept 26th through Oct 2nd

I We had a pretty lazy day on Monday the 26th which is rare for us.  With only having one day off alone with the girls I typically cram it full of errands, play dates, walks, etc.  We lounged around in the morning, took long naps and then headed to Trader Joes for a few things after the girls woke up. When Rollie got home we did a few random things in the front yard (trim hydrangeas, weed, mow, etc) while the girls played on their scooters.

Tuesday I headed into work for a normal day and right as I was pulling in I got a call from Rollie that Piper had thrown up in the car in the parking lot at school.  So I manged to work (quickly) for 2 hours and then I relieved Rollie so he could go back to work.  She was fine for the most part, a little cranky, tired, and didn't eat much, but luckily she didn't get sick again.  I was able to clean the house and decorate for Halloween-so still a productive day on my end.

August 2016

Well August started out well...a visit from my bestie and her family,

a trip to the County Fair with friends,

and an adult day floating down the Russian River...

and then I got really sick, for a month! It started with a dry annoying cough, which turned into a gross wet cough, which then unfortunately turned into bronchitis and for a moment my Dr. thought walking pneumonia but xrays showed I was clear.  I've never been a sick person so it's extremely frustrating to me and I don't take orders to "rest" very well.  I push through and pretend all is well, but this time it was just too debilitating to ignore.  I missed maybe 1 full day of work, taking off early a few days for Dr. appointments and "resting" with a 2 and 4 year old while working full time is near impossible.  After a round of steroids and antibiotics I finally felt better before we left for Michigan over Labor Day weekend.

Park City

The week after New Years we packed up and headed to Park City, UT to meet up with my two best friends from High School and their families.  We were fortunate enough to get a great deal on a rental condo from a friend of mine.  The sleeping arrangements weren't ideal for 5 kids under 5 (yes, 5 kids under 5!) but we made the best of it.   Two of the three of us had cancelled flights but Alaskan ended up booking us direct with Delta so it ended up fine.  Shannon and crew got super delayed until that evening. The Yosts picked us up from the Airport Thursday afternoon and we headed to the condo-it was super foggy and snowing but we had sun the rest of the weekend!   We unpacked and then headed downtown for a bite to eat.  We went to a cute little BBQ joint and the kids were surprisingly well behaved after traveling all day.
