A couple of weeks ago Lily and I had a little day date Christmas shopping and out to lunch.  That afternoon we went to Ruby's 3rd birthday party at Kid Party Central...the kids had a blast.  That evening I met up with Meghan in Corte Madera for more Christmas shopping followed by dinner and drinks.




That Monday I ran errands in the morning and then had an afternoon playdate and mommy white elephant gift exchange.  Lily and Ensley disappeared for a while and literally emptied out all of her drawers and bottom half of closet.  When asked what they were doing they casually replied with 'making a mess' Omg!


I attempted to take a picture of the girls one morning since they had on cute outfits.


I left work early that Wednesday to pick up a sick Piper :(


Thursday night I went to the annual Fit4Mom Holiday Party.  White Elephant with 35 moms that don't get out much is crazy!


We got some cute pictures of Lily from school.


Rollie had friends in town for the Star Wars premiere.  That Sunday we headed down to Half Moon Bay to visit with Anne and celebrate an early Christmas.


Anne got the girls a really cute new table and chairs for the playroom.

Both girls got sick again :(  this time of years is so annoying with the back and forth sickness.


We did our annual Snowman lane light tour.

Lily's school and a pj and movie day the day before Christmas break.


Christmas was quiet but nice.  It was almost a 'white christmas' with a thick layer of frost Christmas morning. We didn't go too crazy with gifts, but the girls had alot of fun opening gifts this year.  It was just us on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.  Kerry and Kristen came over Christmas night for a nice dinner before heading off to SFO to head back east. They gave Lily a keyboard/drum board and it was by far her favorite gift!


The Sunday after Christmas we met up with a new couple that I met through my winery and mutual Duckhorn friends.  We went to the hot new restaurant in Healdsburg, Valette and it was delish.

In the thick of it

Hopefully monthly blogging won't become a habit.  Life has just been crazy.  April was a big blur. We host a bi annual pick up party at work and for the months of April and October I'm pretty much a working like mad or exhausted from working like mad.  Then it took a week to feel normal again! I'm also working split days at the moment (off on Sunday/Tuesday) and its really not fun.  I can't truly enjoy a weekend and its really hard to decompose on Sundays knowing that I have to work the next day.  Hopefully I only 2 more months of it until Piper can start at Lily's preschool/daycare. Rollie was a rock-star Dad as always, taking care of not only the girls but me too.  I know there were days that I was grumpy and not myself.  They did come to visit me one day during the craziness and that helped! May (or better known as my Birthday Month)

I took the girls to the Museum again-it was a hot one! That afternoon we enjoyed some Popsicles on the deck. One night after work we made a Home Depot run and then decided it was too hot to cook so we took the girls to Pieology. We brought bagels to the teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. We celebrated May The 4th with our Star wars gear. I had a work dinner one evening and we spoiled my Manager with baby stuff for his soon to be baby girl. Lily, Ariya & Ensley had their first official sleepover at Ensleys house. We had framily over for a late cinco de mayo dinner. My mom sent the girls super cute matching dresses. Rollie set up a day date for us in Napa.  We went to Freemark Abbey, Goose & Gander for lunch and then Cardinale.  It was such a lovely day just the two of us.  Janet was in town so she hung out with Piper and Lily went to Kerry and Kristen's and enjoyed the pool and a nap on the Farm.

My latest read...

I have lots to blog about, Chicago, Michigan, our recent weekend in San Fran...but this comes first.  Last week I was doing my usual 'before bedtime Facebook scan', and I came across a post from a High School friend.  Maggie had posted an article about Natalie Taylors new memoir, 'Signs of Life'.  I knew it was going to be released  this Winter/Spring but it had slipped my mind.  I immediately went onto Amazon and ordered it.  I got the book Thursday and I'll be done tonight (I have 2 more chapters to go).  I'm not a fast reader.  Rollie can back me up on this one.  I got about 6 books for Christmas and I've only finished one so far, and I'm in the middle of two others.  Rollie would have had all of them finished and probably would have bought a few more by now.
