Girls Trip Continued...

Carmel, CA

We woke up early walked around the hotel grounds a bit and headed up north to Carmel.  It was another beautiful and unusually warm day, perfect for walking around town and shopping!  We grabbed lunch first at the Village Corner which has a wonderful outdoor patio.  After lunch we walked around town and shopped a bit before heading up to Cathy and Sal's place in Carmel Valley.

Arriving just in time for sunset we grabbed a glass of vino and headed out to the patio to catch up with Cathy and enjoy the last few minutes of sunshine.  Cathy prepared a wonderful lasagna dinner for us and then we turned in early to prepare for our next adventure in San Fransisco.

We arrived just in time for lunch and parked right near the Ferry Building, a part of the city I haven't been to yet so it was very fun to venture around.  Sara was dying to go the The Slanted Door...and good choice it was!  After lunch we walked around the Ferry building shops and grazed on the some lovely cupcakes!
We checked into our hotel right in the heart of Union Square, freshened up a bit and then took the trolley over to fisherman's wharf to walk around a bit before heading back to Union Square for a casual dinner.

The following day we did some shopping around Union Square and grabbed a delicious lunch at a great Thai Food place before heading up to Santa Rosa to my place!  Thursday afternoon we relaxed at my place bore enjoying a great dinner that Rollie had prepared for us...great hubby :)

Friday was Wine Country Day!  We started off at Casa Nuestra one of my favorite rustic wineries just around the corner from Duckhorn.
Casa Nuestra
Unfortunately, Duckhorn was closed all week for renovations so next up we hit up Paraduxx, followed by lunch at Gotts....yummy :)  We peeked into Long Meadow Ranch for some olive oil tasting, then Frogs Leap and lastly August Briggs.  It was a wonderful day and it was so nice to show my family Napa Valley (my second home).  We were exhausted from the weeks travels so we ordered some pizzas and relaxed at my place that evening.

By far one of the best vacations ever...wishing we would have started this tradition long ago, hopefully many more girl trips to come!
