November 1-15

Well unless I have documented pictures, I had no clue what we did! 

Works been very busy for me so our evenings are short and exhausting right now. 

We've managed to sprinkle in some fun though.

Two weeks ago I had a girls night in at Micaelas...wine, pjs and girl talk with Dawn, Micaela, Kristina & Kasey. Much needed catching up.

I also hosted a Stella & Dot show with Micaelas friend Lindsay who does Rodan & Fields.  No pics from either :/ Just Lily and I in the morning and Night time pics from Rollie.


Lily's been brining home TONS of artwork. No clue what to do with it all, but "momma I made this for you" never gets old.

This Monday after errands. I went to a surprise baby shower for one of the stroller stride instructors.  There were cake pops...Lily was happy.


Lily's been independently entertaining herself really well these days. (Playing/sharing with Piper-not so well)


Monday after naps we had the Kliegl girls over for an impromptu short play date 


Tuesday was back to the grind but Diane was closed so Piper got to spend the day with Ensley & Quinn!


I took Wednesday off for Veterans Day (no school or daycare). So we ran errands and went to the (very crowded) museum with the Kliegl girls before heading over to Duckhorn to visit.

Thursday night after work we headed to the Kliegls for a delicious dinner (and too much vino). The younger girls went to sleep at normal time but Lily & Ens stayed up late. 


Diane sent me some pics of Piper standing. 


K&K came over for pizza Friday night and we attempted to watch inside out, but atoll or and Lily finished it Saturday.

Saturday evening was very low key.

Today we slept in, ate pancakes & worked around the house. Then met up with the Chamians to have our yearly family pics taken.

In the thick of it

Hopefully monthly blogging won't become a habit.  Life has just been crazy.  April was a big blur. We host a bi annual pick up party at work and for the months of April and October I'm pretty much a working like mad or exhausted from working like mad.  Then it took a week to feel normal again! I'm also working split days at the moment (off on Sunday/Tuesday) and its really not fun.  I can't truly enjoy a weekend and its really hard to decompose on Sundays knowing that I have to work the next day.  Hopefully I only 2 more months of it until Piper can start at Lily's preschool/daycare. Rollie was a rock-star Dad as always, taking care of not only the girls but me too.  I know there were days that I was grumpy and not myself.  They did come to visit me one day during the craziness and that helped! May (or better known as my Birthday Month)

I took the girls to the Museum again-it was a hot one! That afternoon we enjoyed some Popsicles on the deck. One night after work we made a Home Depot run and then decided it was too hot to cook so we took the girls to Pieology. We brought bagels to the teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. We celebrated May The 4th with our Star wars gear. I had a work dinner one evening and we spoiled my Manager with baby stuff for his soon to be baby girl. Lily, Ariya & Ensley had their first official sleepover at Ensleys house. We had framily over for a late cinco de mayo dinner. My mom sent the girls super cute matching dresses. Rollie set up a day date for us in Napa.  We went to Freemark Abbey, Goose & Gander for lunch and then Cardinale.  It was such a lovely day just the two of us.  Janet was in town so she hung out with Piper and Lily went to Kerry and Kristen's and enjoyed the pool and a nap on the Farm.

My latest read...

I have lots to blog about, Chicago, Michigan, our recent weekend in San Fran...but this comes first.  Last week I was doing my usual 'before bedtime Facebook scan', and I came across a post from a High School friend.  Maggie had posted an article about Natalie Taylors new memoir, 'Signs of Life'.  I knew it was going to be released  this Winter/Spring but it had slipped my mind.  I immediately went onto Amazon and ordered it.  I got the book Thursday and I'll be done tonight (I have 2 more chapters to go).  I'm not a fast reader.  Rollie can back me up on this one.  I got about 6 books for Christmas and I've only finished one so far, and I'm in the middle of two others.  Rollie would have had all of them finished and probably would have bought a few more by now.
