The Most Wonderful Time of The Year

December Wrap Up.  The Holidays are oh so fun, but oh so exhausting!  Trying to do all the things! We managed to get in quiet a few activities as well as get our shopping done in a timely manner.

This year we did Elf on the Shelf for the first time.  Lily got to name her, and she choose Sprinkles-mainly for the nighttime routine my family has a tradition of doing but also for her love of anything with sprinkles on it.  Sprinkles wrote the girls a letter on November 30th and brought them their own little trees for their rooms.  Every morning Sprinkles was found getting into trouble!

Rollie took the girls to visit Kerry at work one day and play fun outdoor games at the Barlow.

We met up with The Patels and Kliegls for the Calistoga light Parade....we love this new tradition.  Its such a great way to get into the spirit and the kids just love it!  Lily was literally shaking with excitement.  Amar's parents have a house in town so we now know to park there, eat dinner and then walk into town-because it gets crazy crowded.

The next day we met everyone at Sonoma Cider to celebrate Angela and Chris's birthdays.  Its a fun new spot with tons of games to play.

Monday we ran errands and Lily got to push around the little cart at Trader Joe's, its her new favorite thing.

Proof that we can still smile during our crazy hectic  mornings.

The girls got a early Christmas gift-nice sleeping bags from Cathy and Sal for our camping trip this summer.

Rollie and I went to my work Christmas party while Kristen and Kerry spoiled the girls with Rosso, ice cream and a sleep over in the RV.

Kristen even took the girls to soccer the next day to let Rollie sleep in (I was at work!)

I tried to make the girls a fun breakfast one morning, but of course they didn't think it was as cool as me.

Rollie and I treated ourselves to Apple Watches for an early Christmas gift.

We headed down to California Adventure with Kristen and Kerry-it was freezing again, just like when we went 2 years ago.  We had so much fun, its super cute at Christmas time.  Lily was a total daredevil wanting to ride all the rides alone.  Another fun tradition!

I attempted a little Christmas shopping with the girls-always challenging.

We hit up some Christmas lights one night while Rollie had plans after work.  A house in Santa Rosa does an LED light show timed to a local radio station for music, and this year they had it 'snow' every 10 minutes.  The girls loved it of course.

We headed down to Moss Beach for an early Christmas with Anne (Rollie's stepmom) she lives steps away from the Ocean so we ventured out for walk before dinner.  After putting the girls down for bed the 3 of us enjoyed a yummy dinner and some great wine.  The next morning we went to the Half Moon Bay cemetery to say hi to Rollie's dad before meeting Cathy and Sal for brunch in San Carlos.

That Sunday after returning home we had the Chamians over for dinner.  Oscar and the girls had fun together.

We got together with everyone for Framily dinner before the Christmas weekend.

...And we also got out for an adult dinner too!  Not the best (or cheapest meal) we've had but it was the company that mattered.

I'll do a separate post for Christmas Weekend...
