The perfect day

Sunday I celebrated my first Mother's Day. It's still hard to believe that I'm a mom. Usually this Holiday is about my amazing mom, and now I get to share it with her.

Rollie woke up and fed Lily then we all laid in bed snuggling for an hour. While Lily went down for her morning nap Rollie brought me chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and champagne in bed. Decadent.

Around 10 we decided to burn off breakfast with a hike. We tried a new spot out, Shiloh Regional Park, just 5 minutes from home. It was beautiful and challenging (with the baby ergo) only downfall is no dogs allowed but Rufus wouldn't have made the 3 mile uphills anyways!

After our hike we got ready for the day and headed up to dry creek for a little wine tasting and lunch. However, I made the mistake of taking allergy medicine beforehand :(. I rarely take any medicine so I didn't think about mixing it with alcohol. Oops. We enjoyed delicious sandwiches and shared a beer at dry creek general store but that's when I stared feeling light headed. I still wanted to enjoy the day but I definitely couldn't wine taste. We headed across the street to dry creek vineyards where they have beautiful grounds to picnic/relax on so that's what we did. Rollie tasted a bit and Lily and I just played on the blanket.

We headed home around 4 and we all took a 2 hour nap! Well maybe just us girls. Rollie went and grabbed takeout and we just relaxed the rest of the evening. Pretty great day.
